The Child Friendly Complaint Handling guidance is to be followed by policing bodies operating in Scotland when dealing with complaints involving children.
Our Reviews team will make sure that the process for anyone under 18 is accessible, informative, empowering, confidential and compassionate.
This guidance is currently a standalone document, but will be incorporated in the next edition of PIRC’s Statutory Guidance on the handling of complaints about the police in Scotland in the spring.
