The Complaint

The applicant’s mother, Mrs A, had work carried out in her garden. The complaints in this case arose after the applicant reported to the police that the men who conducted the work had committed a crime. 

We have reviewed the handling of a single complaint, namely that: 

  • The applicant was dissatisfied with Police Scotland’s response that the matter reported was civil.

Police Scotland's Decision

Police Scotland did not uphold any of the applicant’s complaints. 

Our Findings

We have found that Police Scotland handled the applicant’s complaint to a reasonable standard.
